Global Gearing & Machining is looking for a Sales Manager to work out of their Downers Grove, IL office. The Sales Manager will manage, develop, and pursues sales activities of organization.
Essential Job Functions
- Identifies new customers and new markets related to Global Gear’s capabilities and establishes relationships.
- Serves as a main Contact for communication with customers.
- Meets with customers and represents IMS Global Gear to all cross functional groups at the customer (i.e.; Quality, Engineering, and Management).
- Documents conversations and provides meeting and trip reports.
- Overseas estimating team to ensure quotations are done in timely fashion and follows up with customers on submitted quotations earn new business awards.
- Overseas customer service team to ensure order entry process goes through contract review process and orders are entered in ERP according to PO details and EDI information in case of forecasts from blank orders.
- Develops and maintains business development and pipeline presentations for Management. Provides sales trend analysis.
- Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate company goals.
- Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly with new customers.
- Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, and market pricing.
- Takes part in product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line.
- Develops formal quotes and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained. Initiates initial information for RFQ’s.
- Provides feedback on quotations and communicates customer concerns to Management.
- Develops and negotiates LTA’s with customers.
- Assists other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications, when required.
- Interfaces with IMS or other designated sales representatives on new sales opportunities.
- Pursues other opportunities for sister divisions of IMS and communicates these to the other divisions.
- Attends and participates in trade shows events.
- Maintains and updates company presentations. Coordinates activity with website hosts.
- As business conditions dictate, assists Engineering or Quality departments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education โ Bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B.S) from four-year College or university preferred
Experience/Training โ 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills โ Microsoft Office Suite
