The Metallurgy and Materials Committee evaluates the materials and the heat treatment processes used in gear manufacturing. This committee also evaluates the material, design, rating, manufacturing, inspection, and application of molded or cut-tooth plastic gearing and powdered metal gearing. This committee helps serve as the US Technical Advisory Group (TAG) to ISO Working Group 14.
