January 8, 2024 โ Alexandria, VA โ The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) released a new pair of digital assets for its members and power transmission industry professionals last week. These tools include a new version of AGMAโs website (www.agma.org) and the AGMA Mobile app, which is also available in a desktop version. The site and the app are open to both Members and non-members and can be accessed on Android phones, iPhones and computers.
AGMA created the new site and app as a response to the associationโs strategic plan, assisting the industry with gearing education, technical tools, news, marketing and networking.
โAs the industry grows and changes, AGMA has to continue to offer new ways of providing value and resources to better connect its members,โ said Jenny Blackford, COO, AGMA. โWe have streamlined the browsing experience, created a modern space that mirrors current digital trends and now have a more interactive space for professionals to use.โ
Although AGMA has used apps in the past, this is the first association-wide mobile app that allows people to access resources from anywhere. This app offers a member directory, messaging capabilities, marketing opportunities and a hub for education and event attendees to view presentations, papers and schedules. Additionally, companies can grow their brand exposure by advertising or sponsoring banner ads.
โWe are very excited to have a full-service app where our members can connect with one another outside of just email,โ added Blackford. โThis addition to our digital offerings is something members have asked for and it will greatly enhance our events and news sharing capabilities to keep the industry informed.โ
The AGMA website can be accessed at www.agma.org. The AGMA Mobile App can be found in the Google Play and Apple App Store by searching AGMA Mobile. The desktop version of the app can be accessed by visiting agma.org/membership and scrolling down to โConnect with Colleagues.โ
Questions regarding the website and AGMA Mobile App can be sent to schlotman@agma.org.
