November 30, Alexandria, VA – The American Gear Manufacturers Association would like to introduce the Strategic Networking and Leadership (SNL) Forum, previously known as the Strategic Resources Network (SRN) Meeting. Following a strategic review in 2021, the name of the event has been changed to coincide with its restructuring. As it has over the past 16 years, the event will continue to provide up-and-coming gear industry leaders with valuable skills, information, and connections to smoothly transition into leadership positions within their companies. However, the event will now put greater emphasis on giving attendees new tools to utilize in a rapidly changing industry and economy.
“Driven by AGMA and its committee members, the new SNL Forum name was selected to truly reflect the value of what the meeting has become – a true leader development forum,” said Kevin Potter, Sales Manager of GearTec, Inc. and Chairman of the SNL Forum Committee. “The programming and networking engagements this event delivers are perfect for those who wish to grow their peer community, learn about the important influences and disruptions affecting manufacturing and technology, as well as getting themselves ready for that leadership role within their company. Those that attend the SNL Forum now will become the future attendees and leaders at the AGMA/ABMA Annual Meeting.”
The SNL Forum offers robust, peer-focused networking opportunities to mid-level managers and next-generation executives in the gear industry, alongside a bespoke business training course, a tour of a future-focused industry facility (such as additive manufacturing), and thorough exposure to both leadership and emerging technology resources.
“The committee has worked hard to evaluate the strategy and goals of this program to ensure that we are delivering value to the next generation of gear industry executives,” said Leah Lewis, Director of Meetings & Events at AGMA. “The new name is the last piece of the puzzle to ensure that the name reflects the event’s objectives of bringing business and leadership training, robust networking opportunities, and hands-on industry learning all under one roof for our members.”
The 2023 SNL Forum will take place in Fort Worth, Texas, from May 17 to 19. Interested parties can go to the 2023 AGMA SNL Forum webpage to learn more about and book a hotel room for the event. Registration for the 2023 event will open in early January.
