EV Standards Development Meeting at LIFT

June 11, 2024
8:30am – 1:30pm
Detroit, MI

This event is by invitation only. Click the register button below to RSVP.

For 108 years, AGMA has been at the forefront of standards development for the gear and power transmission industry. Our first EV Town Hall in October 2023 showed that there is industry interest in developing more substantive information for gear manufacturers around electric vehicle technology. This could eventually lead to standards development.

The AGMA Technical Division will host a second meeting to further discuss standards development. We are inviting gear and power transmission engineers who work directly on gear boxes for electric vehicles. These vehicles will run the gamut from automotive to agricultural to mining and more.

There are no hotel specials for this event. Choice of hotel is up to individual registrants.

AGMA staff will lead the discussion first in the process for how a standard is created. Next, a list of current relevant standards will be reviewed โ€“ eventually these will need to be updated specifically for EV. Engineers will have ample time to posit questions, provide input, and work together to decide on next steps and outcomes. One solid outcome is an information sheet for gears in EV.

The meeting will take place at the Detroit headquarters facility of the research and development institute.
